“THE IDES OF MARCH”

Beware the IDES OF MARCH!

March 15 has a notorious reputation: Julius Caesar was assassinated on that date in 44 B.C., the last Czar of Russia, Nicholas the II, abdicated the throne on the Ides of March in 1917 and the World Health Organization announced the deadly SARS outbreak on March 15, 2003.

I wonder if that venomous, insane invader from a far off land is fearfully watching the clock and counting down the hours left in this ominous day. “Et tu Brute?”

This watercolor was a first draft book cover for

“Midnight and the Magical Prairie Schooner” written by my good friend Denis Gessing. There’s nothing ominous about this book. It is a magical mystery ride from start to finish.

Quality Giclee prints from greeting cards to poster size, tote bags, pillows, etc. are available at: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/guardians-pamela-allegretto.html
