Daffodils are such a happy flower. They are one of the first flowers of Spring. Their shape suggests their trumpeting of a new season awash in color and joy after a long, grey winter. Although clearly I am not a botanical artist, still, I think all flowers are beautiful whether real or imagined. The original 8”x10″ acrylic on wrapped canvas is for sale. Contact me here for details. Quality giclee prints are available at: https://fineartamerica.com/featured/daffodils-for-noni-pamela-allegretto.html
June is PRIDE MONTH.This PRIDE BOUQUET celebrates all my friends and family in the LBGTQ community. Cheers to you all for being who you are. I love every one of you! This PRIDE BOUQUET is also my nod to the entire LGBTQ community.
No matter the colors of the petals, I wanted my flowers to have a party on my canvas where everyone’s invited. A special thanks to all the talented artists who have written such lovely comments on this painting. It would be wonderful if the whole world could be as understanding and supportive as artists are with each other. We don’t care about who lives where or what the politics are of any country. We don’t care about race or religion, or lack of religion. We don’t care who’s gay, straight, or transgender. We care about each other as human beings with a shared love of beauty and artistic freedom. We are all children of Mother Earth and have no room in our lives for racism, bigots, or bullies!
“This is the first book I read from this author, and let me tell you that I loved it! Such a good book with great characters that keeps you obsessed with every page since the first one. The ending of this book.. come on! I just didn´t expect it! Can´t wait to read other books from this great writer! Amazing job! a must-read!. 5/5 A fantastic story that has it all! I loved this book although the story was at times extremely harrowing. Woven through the account of the Nazi forces (including some good German soldiers) and the Resistance in Southern Italy and Rome is a bewitching story, beginning at the time of the Fascists in the Mussolini regime continuing into the occupation by Nazis in Italy. A great read with interesting characters, lots of twists and turns, so a real page-turner. I look forward to reading more from this author.”
Jennifer Shepard – Scottish Alliance – A thousand thanks for writing such a wonderful review. I appreciate your generosity. I am thrilled that you enjoyed the read. Best wishes and cheers to you.

As an Italian, an artist, and someone who appreciates excellence, I have no “printable” words to express my outrage over the lunacy in Florida regarding Michelangelo’s magnificent “David.” Occasionally, I like to choose a well-known image and scale it down to minimal lines, allowing the viewer’s eye to fill in the spaces. In 2010 I drew this “Deconstructing David” as my humble homage to the master. I wonder how the Florida school board would fill in David’s “bits,” maybe with an AR-15, as that seems to be an acceptable image. Hmmm…
“FATHER’S DAY”
Today in Italy, we celebrate Father’s Day. It is the Feast Day of Saint Joseph, for those who are wondering how the Italians came up with this particular day.
Therefore, I send my love out into the universe and hope it reaches my sweet Dad.

These past few months have been “tricky” to say the least. But thanks to all of my friends and family we are keeping a positive attitude for better days ahead. Spring is just around the corner. It’s time to celebrate with spring flowers.
Although I am clearly not a botanical artist, still, I think all flowers are beautiful whether real or imagined, and the bolder the better. The original painting is a 16″x20″ acrylic on one-inch thick wrapped canvas and can be purchased on my website: http://www.pamelaallegretto-franz.com
I am honored to have my painting “FAMILY UNITY” featured in the “SOCIAL JUSTICE AWARENESS AND UNITY GALLERY” on Fine Art America. I did this painting in 2019 to express my sadness and outrage at this country for separating families and putting children in cages at our border.
Infants, toddlers, ALL children belong with their parents and should not be used as tools for racist, hateful politicians. We are all children of Mother Earth and we should have no room in our lives for bigotry or cruelty! Is it so difficult to treat other people’s children the way we expect our own children to be treated? Is it so difficult to keep ALL families together the way we expect our families to stay together?
May this New Year bring about (finally) a solution that will allow asylum seekers the same opportunity to build a better, safer, healthier life in this country, as all of our ancestors had before us. Let’s never forget that apart from indigenous Indians, we are all immigrants or decedents from immigrants.
While driving through Italy’s Val D’Orcia region, we spied this cart overflowing with flowers, the colors of which mirrored the explosive sunset. Or was it the other way around? Hmmm… ,

While driving through Italy’s Tuscan Region, we spied this lavender farm. I loved how the purple lavender played off the golden Tuscan sky.

As most of you know, I don’t share my personal life online. However, I will have to say, without a doubt: last week sucked. But just as I found myself knee deep in sorrow and anger, I received notice that I had been awarded ARTIST OF THE WEEK on Fineartamarica. This glimpse of a rainbow amid such dark clouds made me realize that taken in small bites, la vita can still be bella.
Purple elephants love pink daises. How do I know? I just do. Are there such things as purple elephants and pink daises? In my world, yes there are.
Elephants represent strength and good fortune. These gentle giants symbolize health and happiness, and they are thought to promote spiritual well-being. Elephants are strong, nurturing, loyal, protective to their family, and over-all just plain super cool.
Of course, this purple elephant will never hang in the Uffizi. He was fun to paint and only meant to bring a smile and spread a little joy.
The original is an 8”x10” acrylic on wrapped canvas.
What better day to add to your book collection than today, NATIONALBOOK LOVER’S DAY. Amazon is doing its weird limited time, book discount scan, and it is listing the paperback version of ASHES TO ASHES, DIAMONDS TO DUST at$8.54. That’s a savings of $12.41, which is almost enough to buy a cheap bottle of Chianti to drink while you read.
