The Festa del Redentore, one of the most important traditional events in Venice, commemorates the end of the plague of the 16th century. The annual celebration takes place during the weekend of the third Sunday of July.
Another reason to celebrate this week is Italy’s championship win at the European Soccer Games. Forze Azzurri!
Lastly, the great news that as of August 1, cruise ships will be banned from the Grand Canal in Venice! Finalmente!
